Product code and product ID

The product code is a unique identifier that the system automatically assigns to each new product created and consists of 4 digits. Unable to change product key.

The "code" of a product is also a unique identifier that we can create and change ourselves, provided that the "code" can be changed only before any transaction of that product is created in the system (purchase, sale, inventory, production, etc.). It can consist of any combination of numbers and letters. Since the code is a required field, the system will assign a "code" when creating the product, which consists of the product code with the addition of the letter P in front of the digits.

Because they are unique, both the code and the "code" can be used to reference products in different parts of the system.
