Adding SKUs
As we have already explained, the SKU is a unique identifier for each of your products that makes it easier to track inventory.
When we create a new product, if it exists in only one option, it will have only one SKU (an example of this is the product "Peas" which will contain only one SKU "Peas").
Products that have more than one option will have multiple SKUs. Each combination of product options will have its own unique SKU that defines it. An example of such a product is the product "Office table" where the number of SKUs depends on how many optional parts this product has. For this product, these are the dimensions of the table, the material from which it is made, the color of the plate, the color of the legs, the orientation, etc. For each of the possible combinations, the system will create a unique SKU. Adding options to a product increases the number of SKUs for that product.
We add options by going to the SKU tab within the product and adding the desired option to the "Product option" field, e.g. "Color" within which we can add as many colors as we have in the optics, and a new SKU will be automatically created for each.
