How Sales Order Fulfilment affects the inventory
The realization of the order provides us with information about all the phases of the order it goes through before it is fully realized.
● Unprocessed >> No inventory changes
● In progress >> No inventory changes
● Placed >> A reservation is created for sold products
● Pending >> No inventory changes
● Sent >> A reservation is canceled and an exit transaction is created for products (products move from basic to transit warehouse)
● Completed >> An exit transaction is created from the transit warehouse
In case the order is canceled for some reason, the products will also be withdrawn from sale, but this time quantity will be returned to the balance.
With these simple steps, we will always have an insight into the real state of our inventory.
